3.  In regulation 2 of the principal Regulations—

(a) in the definition of a “course of initial teacher training”, for “paragraph 2(2)(a)(iii) of Schedule 5 to the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1989” there shall be substituted “paragraph 2(1)(c) of Schedule 3 to the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1993(1)”; and

(b) in the definition of a “qualified teacher”, for “Schedule 5 to the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1989” there shall be substituted “Schedule 3 to the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1993”.
