The Airports (Designation) (Removal and Disposal of Vehicles) (Amendment) Order 1993

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-sections (1) and (5) of section 66 of the Airports Act 1986(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the operators of Bristol and London Luton airports in accordance with sub-section (4) of that section, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Airports (Designation) (Removal and Disposal of Vehicles) (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st November 1993.

Designation

2.  In Schedule 1 to the Airports (Designation) (Removal and Disposal of Vehicles) Order 1990(2) (which lists the airports designated for the purposes of section 66 of the Airports Act 1986) there shall be inserted (at the appropriate places in alphabetical order) the following entries— “Bristol London Luton”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order adds Bristol and London Luton Airports to the list of airports set out in Schedule 1 to the Airports (Designation) (Removal and Disposal of Vehicles) Order 1990, being the Schedule setting out the list of those airports designated for the purposes of section 66 of the Airports Act 1986 (functions of operators of designated airports as respects abandoned vehicles).
