SCHEDULE 1ROUTE OF THE MAIN NEW ROAD

The route of the main new road is about 8.05 kilometres in length and starts from a point on the A50 Trunk Road east of the junction with the B5030 at Uttoxeter in the County of Staffordshire (this point being marked “A” on the plan). It closely follows the route of the existing A50 in an easterly direction to a new roundabout just to the west of the junction with the A518 (Derby Road). From here it follows the existing A50 until, at a point south of Eaton Lodge, it diverges to the north-east, crossing Upwoods Road and Marston Lane. The route then heads in a south-easterly direction, crossing Grove Lane, Somersal Lane and Flacketts Lane before rejoining the A50 at the junction with the A515 to Ashbourne near Portway Head. The route then follows the existing A50 for about 400 metres and ends at a point about 320 metres south-east of the junction with Main Road near Sudbury in the County of Derbyshire (this point being marked “B” on the plan).
