Consequential provisions

6.  Where a friendly society authorised to carry on insurance business under the Friendly Societies (Long Term Insurance Business) Regulations 1987(1) before 1st January 1993 has had its authorisation extended in accordance with regulation 9 of those Regulations and is incorporated under the 1992 Act on 1st January 1994, the authorisation as extended has effect for the purpose of the application of section 32(7) of the 1992 Act to that society as if it were an authorisation in force immediately before the commencement of section 31 of the 1992 Act.
