The location and general design of the cycle/footbridge are shown on plans numbered BRG/1119/20B Proposed Cycle/Footbridge in relation to the surrounding area; BRG/1119/60G General Arrangement of Cycle/Footbridge with position and dimensions and marked “London Borough of Hackney (Lea Bridge-Cycle/Footbridge) Scheme 1993”.
From a point on the East Bank of the River Lea 7.5 metres east and 2.7 metres north of the existing East abutment of Lea Bridge to a point on the West Bank 40.0 metres from the commencement point. The proposed cycle/footbridge will run parallel to the existing Lea Bridge.
A single span of 40.0 metres.
Not less than 3.1 metres above the mean high water level of 5.810 metres Above Ordnance Datum.
A minimum clear navigable waterway of 20.0 metres.
The cycle footbridge will be 4.6 metres wide 40.0 metres long overall and will carry a 3.0 metres wide combined cycle track (with a right of way on foot).
