The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred on her by sections 5(2)(b) and (d), (6)(b), (7), (8), (9) and (10) and 6(1)(da) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979(1) and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

1979 c. 36; section 5(2) to (10) is substituted with effect from 1st April 1993 by the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1992 (c. 16) (“the 1992 Act”), section 4; section 6 is amended with effect from the same date by the 1992 Act, section 5 and Schedule 2, paragraph 4.
