The Nuclear Installations (Application of Security Provisions) Order 1993

Whereas the Secretary of State has granted a permit to Urenco (Capenhurst) Limited under section 2(1) of the Nuclear Installations Act 19651 authorising the use of its site at Capenhurst in the County of Cheshire for the treatment of uranium such as to increase the proportion of the isotope 235 contained therein for purposes other than, or not limited to, research and development;

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 2(1B) of the Nuclear Installations Act 19652 and all other powers in that behalf enabling him, hereby orders as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Nuclear Installations (Application of Security Provisions) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 24th March 1993.

The provisions set out in Schedule 1 to the Nuclear Installations Act 19653 shall have effect in relation to Urenco (Capenhurst) Limited.
