These Regulations further amend the Rules of the Air Regulations 1991. The changes are:Rule 5 is amended so as to exclude from a number of specified provisions aircraft flying in accordance with a police air operator’s certificate (regulation 2(1)).An aircraft flying in accordance with a police air operator’s certificate does not need the agreement of the commander of any other aircraft to fly in formation with that aircraft and does not need to maintain its course and speed if it has the right of way (regulation 2(2)).
