Commencing at grid reference NO 5440 3904 on the northern boundary of ED 2 (Carnoustie East and Arbroath West) where the B9128 road crosses the Boath Burn; then generally northwestward along the said burn and Clearie Burn to the western boundary of the former parish of Panbride; then continuing generally northwestward and westward along the said boundary and the southwestern boundary of the former parish of Carmyllie westward in a straight line to the course of the dismantled railway between Dundee and Forfar; then northwestward along the course of the said railway to the southeastern boundary of the former parish of Forfar; then northeastward and generally northward along the said boundary and the western boundary of the former parish of Dunnichen to the White Burn at its junction with the Vinny Water; then northwestward and northeastward along the White Burn to grid reference NO 4973 4779; then northwestward in a straight line to grid reference NO 4923 4888 on the southernmost point of the southwestern boundary of the woodland strip north of Hillend of Lownie; then northwestward along the said boundary to the path west of Teucherton; then northeastward along the said path to and continuing northeastward along the unclassified road past Teucherton and Mid Dod to the eastern boundary of the former parish of Forfar; then northwestward and northeastward along the said boundary to the course of the dismantled railway between Forfar and Arbroath then westward along the course of the said railway to the access bridge, east of Bowmans Crossing; then northwestward by adjacent field boundary on the north side of the said bridge to the track leading to Home Farm; then northwestward along the said track to a point in line with the southern boundary of the field lying immediately east of Home Farm; then northeastward along the said boundary to and northwestward along the eastern boundary of this field and adjoining eastern field boundaries of fields immediately east of Blackgate to the B9134 road; then northeastward along the said road to where the road crosses the drain east of Howmuir; then northwestward along the said drain and the prolongation of this line to the boundary of the former parish of Aberlemno; then generally northeastward and southward along the western, northern and eastern boundaries of the said parish to the southern boundary of the former parish of Brechin; then generally eastward along the said boundary and the southern boundary of the former parish of Farnell to its junction with the A933 road; then southwestward along the said road to the junction of the unclassified road at Glaster Law; then generally eastward and southward along the said road past Freelands, Muirside of Kinnell then southward through the southeast corner of the disused airfield to the junction of this road and the unclassified road on the northern perimeter of Kinnell; then eastward along the said road to the junction of the access road leading to Hatton Mill and at a point in line with the source of the unnamed burn flowing to the Gighty Burn; then southeastward along the unnamed burn to the Gighty Burn and the northern boundary of the former parish of Inverkeilor; then westward along the said boundary to the B965 road then southeastward along the said road to and southeastward along the access road leading to the gas compression station at grid reference NO 6182 4834 being opposite the northern boundary of the field situated to the north of the gas compression station; then westward to and along the said field boundary to the eastern boundary of the wooded area known as The Kitchen; then southward along the said eastern boundary to and northeastward along the southern boundary of The Kitchen to the field boundary at grid reference NO 6075 4820; then southwestward along the said boundary to the track and access road leading to Leysmill; then southeastward and southwestward along the said track and road to the course of the dismantled railway between Forfar and Arbroath; then southeastward along the course of the said railway to the western boundary of the former parish of Arbroath and St Vigeans; then generally eastward along the said boundary to the junction of the access road leading to West Mains; then northeastward along the said road past West Mains to the track and its prolongation to the track east of Home Farm; then southeastward along the said track and the prolongation of this line southeastward by field boundaries to the Dundee to Aberdeen railway; then southeastward along the said railway to the bridge carrying the unclassified road from Chapelton to Arbroath; then generally southeastward along the said road past Nether Newbigging to the road at the junction of Brechin Road, Arbroath leading to St Vigeans Parish Church; then southwestward along the said road to the tunnel carrying the Dundee to Aberdeen railway; then southward along the said railway to the bridge carrying Guthrie Port Road, Arbroath on the northern boundary of ED 1 (Arbroath Central); then generally westward along the northern boundaries of EDs 1 and 2 to the point of commencement.
