Electoral Division 6: Forfar West

Commencing at grid reference NO 4532 3961 on the western boundary of Angus District at the northern boundary of ED 5 (Carnoustie West) then generally westward along the said district boundary to the Dean Water at grid reference NO 3252 4764; then northwestward to the adjacent track from Braidstone Mill; then northeastward and northwestward along the said track to the unclassified road between Meigle and Glamis; then northeastward and eastward along the said road past Blackhills and Lendrick Lodge to where it crosses the Dairsie Burn at grid reference NO 3644 5116; then generally southeastward along the said burn to the western boundary of the former parish of Kirriemuir; then northeastward along the said boundary to the unclassified road between Meigle and Glamis; then eastward along the said road crossing the A928 road and continuing eastward to a point in line with the northwest curtilage of Ladywell Sawmills; then northeastward along the said boundary to and continuing northeastward along the track north of Logie Woods to grid reference NO 3911 5174 on the said track; then southeastward by line of drain and field boundaries to grid reference NO 3930 5109; then northeastward along field drain and field boundaries in a straight line to the Gairie Burn; then northward along the said burn to a point in line with the northern field boundary due east of North Mains of Ballindarg; then southeastward along the said boundary and its prolongation in a straight line to the course of the dismantled railway between Forfar and Kirriemuir; then northwestward along the course of the said railway to grid reference NO 4058 5172 in line with the northern boundaries of fields lying west of Padanaram Primary School then northeastward along the said boundaries to the A926 road; then northwestward along the said road to and northeastward along the access road to the track serving Woodhead of Ballinshoe; then southeastward along the said track and continuing southeastward along the western field boundaries west of the said property to grid reference NO 4220 5192; then eastward and northeastward along the southern field boundaries south of Woodhead of Ballinshoe, Mosside of Ballinshoe and East Mosside of Ballinshoe and Nether Bow to the unnamed burn at grid reference NO 4380 5243; then generally southeastward along the said burn to and eastward to the A926 road; then southeastward along said track to and eastward along said road to the course of the dismantled railway between Forfar and Brechin; then eastward along the course of the said railway to a point in line with the northern boundary of Market Muir, Forfar, then southwestward along the said boundary to Brechin Road; then generally southward along Brechin Road and Castle Street to Manor Street; then westward along Manor Street to and southward along the unnamed road leading to Annfield House and continuing generally southward across Myre Road to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of the car park to the lane along the western curtilage of the post office; then southeastward along the said lane to West High Street; then continuing southeastward across West High Street and along new road to and southwestward along St James Road and the A932 Dundee Road to the access road to West Craig Nursery; then northeastward along the said road and continuing northeastward in a straight line along the track to the western boundary of Craig Quarries; then southward and eastward along the said boundary to the western field boundary west of Craignathro at grid reference NO 4546 4843; then southeastward along the western boundaries of fields west of Craignathro to the Spittal Burn at grid reference NO 4569 4689 at the northern boundary of the former parish of Inverarity; then southwestward along the said boundary to the field boundary immediately northeast of Spittalburn; then southeastward along the said field boundary and continuing southeastward along field boundaries across the access road to Wester Meathie and to the Durie Burn; then northwestward along the said burn to the field boundary at grid reference NO 4454 4575; then southwestward along the said boundary to the B9127 road; then generally southeastward along the said road to Inverarity Bridge over the Kerbet Water; then southeastward and eastward along the said water to the access road east of Fothringham Saw Mill; then northward along the said road to and eastward along the B9127 road to the field track northwest of Seggieden; then northward along the said track to the northern field boundary at grid reference NO 4688 4456; then northeastward in a straight line along field boundaries to the western track access to Little Lour; then southward along the said track to the B9127 road; then eastward along the said road to a point in line with the western boundary of the field west of Whigstreet; then southward along the said boundary in a straight line to the Kerbet Burn; then northeastward along the said burn to the road from Holemill to Whigstreet; then northeastward along the said road and track through Whigstreet Wood to the B9127 road; then eastward along the said road to where the road crosses the dismantled railway running between Dundee and Forfar on the western boundary of ED 3 (Arbroath North and Central Angus) at grid reference NO 4965 4384; then southward along the course of the said railway to the northern boundary of ED 5 at grid reference NO 5066 4172; then southwestward along the said ED boundary to the point of commencement.
