30. In Schedule 7A to the Local Government Superannuation (Scotland) Regulations 1987(1) (additional voluntary contributions), paragraph 11 shall have effect as if the reference to a person authorised under section 3 or 4 of the 1982 Act to carry on long term business and acting through a branch or agency in the United Kingdom included a reference to an EC company which is lawfully carrying on long term insurance business, or providing long term insurance, in the United Kingdom.
