Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order excludes the application of paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 1 to the Sunday Trading Act 1994, which provides that (subject to certain exceptions) a large shop shall not be open on Sunday for the serving of retail customers, in relation to any shops situated in a specified part of the terminal area of the Channel Tunnel system at Cheriton (article 3).
The deposited plan referred to in article 4 can be seen between 10.00 and 16.00 hours at the Department of Transport at the address given in article 2 of the Order as well as at the Eurotunnel Customer Service Centre at Cheriton Parc, St. Martin’s Plain, Cheriton, Folkestone, where a certified duplicate is deposited and can be inspected during normal office hours.
