These Regulations amend the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) Regulations 1973. Regulation 7(1) (duplicate licences) of the 1973 Regulations is amended to make it clear that it applies to both vehicle and trade licences and the fee payable for the issue of a duplicate licence is increased from £5.50 to £7. The other amendments are to regulation 32 (trade plates). A motorcycle dealer is only entitled to one additional trade plate. If a trade plate is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed the whole set must be replaced. The fees for the issue of a duplicate set of trade plates are fixed at £13.50 for a set of two trade plates and £18 for a set of three. A fee of £2 is prescribed for the issue of a replacement holder for the display of a trade licence.
