1. This Order may be cited as the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st April 1994.
2. The District Health Authorities specified in Schedule 1 to this Order are hereby abolished.
3. For each of the districts determined by the National Health Service (Determination of Districts) Order 1994(1) and specified in column (1) of Schedule 2 to this Order there is established a District Health Authority which shall be known by the name specified in column (2) of that Schedule in relation to that district.
4. In the National Health Service (District Health Authorities) Order 1990(2)—
(a)in article 3(2) (continuation of Authorities in England) for the words from “14 Parts” to “1981”there shall be subsituted the words “8 Parts”, each numbered Part corresponding with the number of a region specified in Schedule 3 to the National Health Service (Determination of Regions) Order 1994(3);
(b)for Schedule 1 (District Health Authorities in England) there shall be substituted the new Schedule 1 set out in Schedule 3 to this Order.
