The Three Valleys, Rickmansworth and Colne Valley Water (Amendment of Local Enactments etc.) Order 1994

Whereas provision is made in relation to Rickmansworth Water Limited “Rickmansworth”), Colne Valley Water Limited (“Colne Valley”) and Lee Valley Water Limited (“Lee Valley”) in local statutory provisions;

And whereas with effect from 31st March 1994 Lee Valley has been re–registered and renamed Three Valleys Water plc (“Three Valleys”);

And whereas with effect from that date the Director General of Water Services has made a variation under section 8 of the Water Industry Act 19911 (“the Act”) replacing Rickmansworth and Colne Valley as water undertakers;

And whereas by virtue of that variation Three Valleys will hold an appointment as the water undertaker for the whole area for which Rickmansworth and Colne Valley hold appointments as water undertakers;

And whereas with effect from 31st March 1994 Rickmansworth and Colne Valley will transfer properties, rights and liabilities to Three Valleys by transfer schemes under Schedule 2 to the Act;

And whereas it appears to the Secretary of State appropriate for the purposes of the above–mentioned variation and transfer schemes that provision be made corresponding to provisions originally made by Schedule 26 to the Water Act 19892 and that local statutory provisions relating to Rickmansworth and Colne Valley be amended or repealed;
