2.—(1) The appropriate administering authority may require, before any contributions are first made pursuant to the election that the amount of the contributions payable under regulation C24 in any tax year shall be not less than the amount specified in regulation 2(8) of the Pension Schemes (Voluntary Contributions Requirements and Voluntary and Compulsory Membership) Regulations 1987(1).
(2) The amount of the contributions payable in any tax year is limited in accordance with paragraph 5 of Schedule C5.
