14.—(1) In this article—
“transferred area” has the same meaning as in article 13; and
“transferor deputy lieutenant” means a deputy lieutenant for the lieutenant’s area in which a transferred area is located immediately prior to 1st April 1996.
(2) Any person who, immediately before 1st April 1996, is qualified under section 133(2)(a) of the Reserve Forces Act 1980(1) to be appointed as a deputy lieutenant for the existing counties of Clwyd or Mid Glamorgan by reason of having a place of residence within a transferred area, or within seven miles from the relevant boundary thereof, shall, for a period of two years from that date, be qualified to be appointed as a deputy lieutenant for the preserved county of Clwyd or the preserved county of Mid Glamorgan, as the case may be.
