These Regulations amend Schedule 1 to the Motor Vehicles (EC Type Approval) Regulations 1992 and are made in consequence of Commission Directives 94/53/EC, 94/68/EC, 94/78/EC and Directive 94/20/EC which was made by the European Parliament and the Council. These Regulations also correct an error in item 39 of Schedule 1.
Directive 94/53/EC further amends Council Directive 78/316/EEC relating to the interior fittings of motor vehicles (identification of controls, tell-tales and indicators).
Directive 94/68/EC amends Council Directive 78/318/EEC relating to the wiper and washer systems of motor vehicles.
Directive 94/78/EC amends Council Directive 78/549/EEC relating to the wheel guards of motor vehicles.
Directive 94/20/EC relates to mechanical coupling devices of motor vehicles and their trailers and their attachment to those vehicles.
