Modification of 1990 Act
9. Section 17 (For protection of Manchester Ship Canal Company) of the 1990 Act and sections 43 (For protection of electricity, gas and water undertakers) and 44 (For protection of North West Water Authority) of the Greater Manchester (Light Rapid Transit System) Act 1988(1)as applied by the 1990 Act shall have effect as if the powers of compulsory acquisition contained in this Order were contained in the 1990 Act and as if the reference to the deposited plans in subsection (3) of section 43 included a reference to the land plan prepared for the purposes of this Order.
