(This note is not part of the Order)

The Regulations approved by this Order amend the Veterinary Surgeons (Examination of Commonwealth and Foreign Candidates) Regulations 1967 by further increasing the fees payable by persons holding certain Commonwealth or foreign qualifications in veterinary surgery for sitting the whole or part of the statutory examination of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. (The existing fees were fixed in 1984 and are being increased by 177 per cent.) They also increase the period of notice of withdrawal from examinations necessary to entitle the student to a refund of one half of the fee.
