Power to construct works

3.—(1) Subject to the provisions of this Order, the Council may in the city and in the situations and lines and within the limits of deviation and according to the levels shown on the deposited plans and sections construct and maintain the works hereafter described, together with all necessary and proper works and conveniences connected with or incidental thereto, that is to say—

• Work No. 1— A pedestrian bridge across that part of the City Docks known as St. Augustine’s Reach commencing at a point at ST 58517 72524, extending in an easterly direction for a distance of 52 metres, and terminating at a point at ST 58567 72510, incorporating a moving bridge span.

• Work No. 2— A landing stage of open construction in that part of the City Docks known as St. Augustine’s Reach commencing at a point at ST 58552 72765 and terminating at a point at ST 58560 72764, including a stairway access to the landing stage.

• Work No. 3— A landing stage of open construction in that part of the City Docks known as St. Augustine’s Reach commencing at a point at ST 58583 72761 and terminating at a point at ST 58575 72762, including stairway and ramp access to the landing stage.

(2) The Council may within the limits of deviation alter, replace, relay or reconstruct the works.
