Whereas a draft of the following Order was laid before Parliament in accordance with the provisions of section 3(3) of the Statutory Sick Pay Act 1994(1) and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 159A and 175(3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
