The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 48(5) and 51(4) of the Gaming Act 1968(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st April 1995.

(2) This Order shall extend to Scotland only.

(3) In this Order “the 1992 Order” means the Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1992(2).

2.  The provisions of section 48 of the Gaming Act 1968 specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to fees charged in relation to the matters specified in column 2 of that Schedule) shall have effect as if, for the references to the sums specified in those provisions (which, by virtue of the 1992 Order, had effect, immediately before the coming into force of this Order, as if, for those references, there were substituted references to the sums specified in column 3 of that Schedule), there were substituted references to the sums specified in column 4 of that Schedule.

3.  The 1992 Order is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order increases the fees to be charged in Scotland under the Gaming Act 1968 for the matters mentioned in the Schedule to the Order.
