In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 18(1)(c) and 24(2) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 1st May 1995.
(2) This Order shall not extend to Scotland.
2. In section 16(3) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976(2) (conditions on which the provision of amusements is permitted at certain commercial entertainments), paragraph (b) shall have effect as if, for the sum specified in that paragraph, there were substituted the sum of £30.
3. The Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1992(3) is hereby revoked.

This Order increases from £25 to £30 the maximum amount permitted to be taken by way of the sale of chances in any one determination of winners in amusements provided at certain fairs and other commercial entertainments in England and Wales under section 16 of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 (c. 32).
