The Buying Agency Trading Fund (Amendment) Order 1996

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 1(1) and 6(1) of the Government Trading Funds Act 19731 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following order:—

Citation and Commencement1.

(1)

This Order may be cited as the Buying Agency Trading Fund (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 8th May 1996.

Amendment2.

In Article 4 of the Buying Agency Trading Fund Order 19912 for “the Secretary of State” substitute “the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.”

This Order amends the Buying Agency Trading Fund Order 1991 by substituting in Article 4 a reference to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster for the reference to the Secretary of State. The Order is consequential upon the transfer of the Buying Agency from the Department of the Environment to the Office of Public Service.
