9. In regulation 4 of the Child Support Maintenance Assessments Regulations (basic rate of child benefit) for the words “regulation 2(1) of the Child Benefit and Social Security (Fixing and Adjustment of Rates) Regulations 1976(1) (rates of child benefit)” there shall be substituted the words “regulation 2(1)(a)(i) or 2(1)(b) of the Child Benefit Rates Regulations (weekly rate for only, elder or eldest child and for other children)”.
