The A38 Trunk Road (A3064 St Budeaux Bypass Slip Roads) (Trunking) Order 1996

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1) and now vested in him(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the A38 Trunk Road (A3064 St Budeaux Bypass Slip Roads) (Trunking) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st March 1996.

(2) In this Order all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

2.  The lengths of highways described in the Schedule to this Order (the highways being in this Order referred to as “the slip roads”), shall become trunk roads from the date when this Order comes into force.

3.  The centre line of each of the slip roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered SNPR95/6 marked “The A38 Trunk Road (A3064 St Budeaux Bypass Slip Roads) (Trunking) Order 1996”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Department of Transport, Great Minster House, 76 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DR.

THE SCHEDULELENGTHS OF SLIP ROADS BECOMING TRUNK ROADS

The routes of the slip roads, which are all at Plymouth in the County of Devon, have been given the reference numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the deposited plan, and are as follows:

1.  A route about 164 metres in length forming the “off” slip road from the south-east bound carriageway of the A38 Trunk Road to the junction with the A3064.

2.  A route about 172 metres in length forming the “on” slip road from the junction with the A3064 to the south-east bound carriageway of the A38 Trunk Road.

3.  A route about 189 metres in length forming the “off” slip road from the north-west bound carriageway of the A38 Trunk Road to the junction with the A3064.

4.  A route about 210 metres in length forming the “on” slip road from the junction with the A3064 to the north-west bound carriageway of the A38 Trunk Road.
