1934 c. 36; section 1 and 2(1) of that Act were amended by section 18 of the Oil and Gas (Enterprise) Act 1982 (c. 23) and section 19(1) of the Petroleum Act 1987 (c. 12) so that the 1934 Act applies (retrospectively) to petroleum beneath the territorial waters of the United Kingdom; section 6 was extended by section 1(3) of the Continental Shelf Act 1964 (c. 29).
