Article 5 of the principal order shall not apply to any person described in column 2 of Part I or Part II of the Schedule to this Order who, immediately before 1st April 1996, was employed by the old authority specified in relation to that person in column 1 of Part I or Part II of the Schedule, as the case may be.

In the Schedule to the principal order, in the list of numbered Parts of the desposited list to which reference is made in the section headed Category 2, under Part 7 (Gwynedd County Council), in column 1 there shall be deleted “(e)”, and in column 2 in the corresponding entry there shall be deleted“Anglesey County Council and Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire County Council”.
