Coming into force of the Act2

The Act shall come into force on 1st April 1996.

Sections 2(2), 4(2) and 6(1) of the Act shall apply in relation to—
a
action beginning on or after 1st April 1996;
b
action beginning before that date if it can reasonably be said that part of the same action occurs on or after that date.
