The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by sections 6(5), 181(1) and 182(2) and (3) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993(1), and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, having consulted with such persons as she considered appropriate (2), by this instrument, hereby makes the following regulations:–

1993 c. 48. Section 181(1) is cited because of the meaning ascribed to “prescribed” and “regulations”.
(2)
See section 185(1) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993. Section 185(1) was amended by paragraph 80 (a) of Schedule 5 to the Pensions Act 1995 (c. 26).
