Appropriate practitioners

2.  For the purposes of section 58 (medicinal products on prescription only), the following shall be appropriate practitioners–

(a) in relation to the descriptions and classes of medicinal products specified in article 3, doctors, dentists [F1 , supplementary prescribers], veterinary surgeons and veterinary practitioners;

[F2 (b) in relation to the descriptions and classes of medicinal products specified in Schedule 3, district nurse/health visitor prescribers;

(c) in relation to the descriptions and classes of medicinal products specified in article 3A(1), extended formulary nurse prescribers.]
