Appropriate practitioners2.

For the purposes of section 58 (medicinal products on prescription only), the following shall be appropriate practitioners–

(a)

in relation to the descriptions and classes of medicinal products specified in article 3, doctors, dentists F1, supplementary prescribers, F2nurse independent prescribers, pharmacist independent prescribers, veterinary surgeons and veterinary practitioners;

in relation to the descriptions and classes of medicinal products specified in Schedule 3, F4community practitioner nurse prescribers;

F6(c)

in relation to the descriptions and classes of medicinal products specified in article 3, other than medicinal products that are controlled drugs or for parenteral administration or both , optometrist independent prescribers.
