The Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State, being a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19721 in relation to measures relating to copyright2 and measures relating to the prevention of unauthorised extraction of the contents of a database and of unauthorised re-utilisation of those contents3, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) and (4) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
