Amendment of provisions of the 1980 Act17

Section 34 of the 1980 Act shall be amended as follows.

In subsection (1), for the words—
a
“notice in writing” there shall be substituted “notice under section 35 below”;
b
“section 10 or section 18(1) above” there shall be substituted “a call-out order under section 52 of the Reserve Forces Act 1996”.

In subsection (3), for paragraph (b) there shall be substituted—
b
ending (unless he is previously discharged) with the date on which there is no longer a call-out order under section 52 of the Reserve Forces Act 1996 in force.
