Specified capital grants—all local authorities
53. Contributions paid to a local authority under section 569(1) of the Housing Act 1985 (contributions towards expense of assisting owners of defective housing)(1) are specified for the purposes of section 57, except to the extent that they are paid in annual sums payable for a period of ten years or more.

Section 569 was amended by section 157(8) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and section 138 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (c. 28).
