Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Education and Employment, in relation to regulations 2 and 3 of these Regulations and the Secretary of State for Social Security, in relation to the remainder of these Regulations, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 4(5), 20(4) and (6), 35(1) and 36(1) to (3) of the Jobseekers Act 19951, sections 123(1)(a), 124(1)(e), 135(1), 137(1) and 175(1) and (3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19922, sections 24 and 30 of the Criminal Justice Act 19913, sections 5(1)(p), 15A(2)(a), 189 and 191 of the Social Security Administration Act 19924, sections 14(3), 97(5), 113 and 116(1) of, paragraphs 1 and 6 of Schedule 4 to and paragraph 6 of Schedule 8 to, the Local Government Finance Act 19925 and sections 21, 52(4) and 54(b) of the Child Support Act 19916, and of all other powers enabling each of them in that behalf, after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of regulations 2 to 7 of these Regulations should not be referred to it7, and after consultation with the Council on Tribunals in respect of regulation 98, hereby make the following Regulations:
