(11) Regulations 16, 17, 20 to 23 and 25 shall apply to ships of Class XII of 500 tons or over but under 1,000 tons as they apply to ships of Class VII of 500 tons or over, provided that where at least two hydrants are required by regulation 16(4)(c) to be provided in each space containing oil fired boilers or internal combustion type propulsion machinery there shall be provided at least one fire hydrant.
