(1)

1851 c. 42 (14 & 15 Vict.). The Crown Lands Act 1851 is extensively amended and the greater part of it is now repealed. Words are omitted from section 21 by the Schedule to the Statute Law Revision Act 1892 and, by reason of section 7(5) of the Parliamentary Corporate Bodies Act 1992, section 21 no longer has effect in relation to the Palace of Westminster. Functions vested in the Commissioners of Works by section 21 have been the subject of orders transferring functions namely:— the Ministry of Works (Transfer of Powers) (No. 1) Order 1945 (S.R.&O. 1945/991), the Secretary of State for the Environment Order 1970 (S.I. 1970/1681) and the Transfer of Functions (National Heritage) Order 1992 (S.I. 1992/1311). The Minister of Works (Change of Style and Title) Order 1962 (S.I. 1962/1549) and the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Order 1997 (S.I. 1997/1744) changed the title of the office in which the functions are vested by section 21.
