2. For article 3 of the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, University Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992(1) (functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article–
3.—(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.
(2) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be–
(a)to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, University Hospital, Derby Road, Nottingham and associated premises (including the management of its teaching and research facilities) and there to provide hospital accommodation and services;
(b)to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act accommodation within, and an additional establishment adjoining, the East Block of the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, University Hospital, Derby Road, Nottingham and there to provide hospital accommodation and services; and
(c)to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act facilities at Leen Gate/Abbey Street, Lenton, Nottingham and there to provide hospital accommodation and services.”.
