Rule 23 Where the receiver or other person authorised under Part VII of the Mental Health Act 1983(1) to conduct legal proceedings in the name of the patient or on his behalf has also been authorised by the Court of Protection under its seal to consent to the dismissal of an appeal to the Court of Appeal by that patient, the appeal may be dismissed by consent without a hearing.
