Fees in respect of authorisation

6.  A society which applies for authorisation under section 9 of the Act(1) shall upon making such application pay to the Commission a fee of £1,500 in respect of the exercise of the Commission’s functions under that section.

Section 9 was amended by regulation 68 of the Banking Co-ordination (Second Council Directive) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/3218), by regulation 6 of the Financial Institutions (Prudential Supervision) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/1669) and by section 43 of and paragraph 3 of Schedule 7 to the Building Societies Act 1997.
