Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 19771 and by section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 19902 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order3, and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act4, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the South Durham National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.
Dissolution of NHS trust2.
The South Durham National Health Service Trust established by the South Durham National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 19965 is dissolved, and accordingly that Order is revoked.

This Order dissolves the South Durham National Health Service Trust on 1st April 1998.
