3. Section 20(8) of the Gaming Act 1968 (under which the maximum amount by which weekly winnings on any particular bingo club premises may exceed the aggregate amount of the stakes hazarded is £5,000(1)) shall have effect with the substitution, for the reference to the sum specified in that subsection, of a reference to the sum of £5,500.

The sum of £5,000 is as substituted as respects England and Wales by article 3 of the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1995 and, as respects Scotland, by article 3 of the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (Scotland) Order 1995.
