16.  In the Reserve Forces Act 1996, the words “and the Lord Advocate” wherever they appear in sections 90 and 91(1) are omitted.

The functions of the Lord Advocate under sections 90 and 91 were transferred to the Secretary of State by the Transfer of Functions (Lord Advocate and Secretary of State) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/678).
