2.—(1) Any euro coin produced in accordance with Council Regulation No. 975/98/EC(1) by or at the instance of a participating member State is hereby specified for the purposes of Part II of the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981.
(2) In paragraph (1), “participating member State” means a member State which has adopted the single currency in accordance with the treaty establishing the European Community.
