16. Notwithstanding provision to the contrary in the relevant paragraphs—
(a)a head teacher may become a member of the temporary governing body by notifying the local education authority in writing at any time after his appointment as head teacher that he wishes to act as a temporary governor; and
(b)having done so a head teacher shall be treated as an ex officio member of the temporary governing body(1).
Regulation 25 does not permit the head teacher to resign as a temporary governor.
