The Court of Protection (Enduring Powers of Attorney) (Amendment) Rules 1999

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred on him by sections 106 and 108 of the Mental Health Act 1983(1) and with the consent of the Treasury, makes the following Rules:

1.  These Rules may be cited as the Court of Protection (Enduring Powers of Attorney) (Amendment) Rules 1999 and shall come into force on 1st October 1999.

2.  Column 2 of Schedule 2 to the Court of Protection (Enduring Powers of Attorney) Rules 1994(2) shall be amended as follows:

(a)the figure “£75” shall be substituted for the figure “£50 ”;

(b)the figure “£25” shall be substituted for the figure “£10 ”.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Rules)

These Rules increase the fees payable in respect of applications for registration of an enduring power of attorney and applications to search the register.
