The Northern Ireland Act 1998 (Appointed Day) Order 1999

Present,
The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Whereas, it having appeared to the Secretary of State that sufficient progress had been made in implementing the agreement reached at multi-party talks on Northern Ireland set out in Command Paper 3883 (“the Belfast Agreement”), he laid before Parliament the draft of this Order:
And whereas the draft Order has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:
And whereas the Secretary of State has submitted the draft Order to Her Majesty in Council:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(2) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998() is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:–
