Where pesticides are used in cargo spaces, they shall be used in accordance with Merchant Shipping Notice M.1718 (“Recommendations on the Safe Use of Pesticides in Ships”).

If paragraph (1) is not complied with the owner and master shall each be guilty of an offence.
